AARON Jason Brown will appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today after spending the weekend in custody.

The 21-year-old man has been charged with a range of offences involving a firearm, after police attended a car rollover in Blaxland.

Police were called to a home on Blaxland Rd on Friday afternoon after a reported disturbance.

It is alleged that Brown was threatening his neighbour with a rifle.

Police arrived at the premises at around 4.30pm to learn that the Brown had driven off a short time before.

Police were then called to a single vehicle rollover on Blaxland-Irvingdale Rd, with a car matching the description of the one involved in the disturbance.

When police arrived at the scene Brown threw the rifle into nearby bushland, before being arrested by police.

Once police had arrested Brown, he proceeded to walk police to the area where he threw the firearm that was in his possession.

Police have laid three charges against Brown, dangerous possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm and receiving tainted property: a firearm.

Brown has been held in custody since Friday and was scheduled to appear via video link to the St. George Magistrates Court yesterday.

However, Brown's case was subsequently adjourned to the Toowoomba Magistrates court, where the matter will be heard today.
