Man and horse killed in storm tragedy
A CATTLE musterer, originally from Mitchell, and his horse have died after being hit by two falling trees on Tuesday near Augathella.
A 77-year-old man was mustering cattle with a group of workers when a storm hit.
It is understood a nearby tree snapped and hit the rider and his horse, with a second tree later falling on them both, killing the man and the horse.
Poor weather continues to affect western Queensland, including a dramatic dust storm in Charleville.
Feeling dusty on a Tuesday afternoon? Spare a thought for #Charleville at the moment. Visibility is low so take care on the roads! pic.twitter.com/a1LiM9zmbd
